I’ve been doing a bit of writing lately. I do enjoy it as a hobby. It’s a nice escape from reality. You can be anyone you want to be in your words. Any feedback is appreciated of course!
Chapter 1:
The Beginning
Despite her efforts to stay awake her eyes started to close. As she drifted off to sleep she wondered.. Would her dreams be pleasant? Or would they be dark and mysteries like she often was.
She saw the outer rim of life so vividly it was almost like a painted canvas. The good, bad and the ugly stood out like vibrant colors splashed along the walls of her mind.
She was thankful for her darkness. Thankful that she could see through all of the mysteries that crossed her path. A mysterious darkness lingered always in her presence.
She wasn’t always so accepting of her ability. In fact, she often tried to avoid it. She didn’t want to always see the truth or the evil side to all things good.
Throughout her life she had realized that this part of her wasn’t going anywhere. She could not change who she was therefore she had to accept it.
Within her alabaster skin, emerald eyes and thick, shiny black hair was a special girl. A girl that only wanted to be normal.
Her mother always told her that she would one day appreciate her gift. She would find the proper way to use it and shine brighter than any star in the sky.
This was her journey. The journey that would help her discover the light within her. She wanted more than anything to find that.. if not for her, for her mother.
